Dick Reese at Mule Sale

Rufus M. Reese Sr. Moved to Gallatin Tennessee in 1892. He began selling Mules in the 1920’s - one Mule at a time.

Since then the Family Mule Tradition has been followed by his Son's Dick Reese (Photo Above) & Hub Reese and now his Grandsons, Dickie & Rufus Reese. (Photo Below - Rufus on Left &  Dickie on Right)

In 1950 The Mule Auction Business was started in Nashville.

Sales are presently held at
Dickson Tennessee, Knoxville Tennessee, Shelbyville Tennessee and their Newest Auction is the Columbia Mule Day Sale.

Hub Reese was the main supplier of Mules used in Afghanistan During 1979-1989 in the war against the Russians.
